HE engineer/ Jumaa Mubarak Al-Junaibi is the UAE ambassador in Cairo and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the League of Arab States. Al-Junaibi was born on 29/4/1960 in Al Ain City, United Arab Emirates. He holds a Bachelor degree of Civil Engineering from the University of Florida in 1985 and a Masters of Strategic Studies from the American War College in Pennsylvania in 2000.
H.E. Al-Junaibi has served in the following posts: From 1985 to 1993 Engineer in the Engineering Corps; From 1995 to 1999 he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Leadership and Staff in Abu Dhabi; From 2000 to 2002 he served as the Director of Military Cooperation Department at the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces; From 2002 to 2004 he was the Commander of the Field Engineering Group of the UAE Armed Forces; From 2005 to 2009, Director General of Abu Dhabi Municipality; Since 2012, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to the Federal Republic of Germany; Since 2013, he became Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (non-resident) of the UAE to the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Estonia; Since 2016 he was appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The most important conferences in which the Ambassador participated were: the GCC summit in Bahrain, the 2000 Millennium Summit of the United Nations and the summit of OPEC oil exporters in 2000 Caracas Venezuela.
The other most notably tasks assigned to the Ambassador include his appointment as the Director of the UAE Solidarity Project for demining in southern Lebanon in coordination with the United Nations. The ambassador was honored for his achievements throughout his career. He received the Good Service Medal, Distinguished Service Medal, the Liberation of Kuwait medal, and the Foreign Officers' Medal from the US Army Command and Staff College.
