LEGALISATION:
In order to legalise/attest your document by the UAE Embassy in London, it must be legalised first by its respective foreign office.

The general consulate of the United Arab Emirates in London, will stop receiving documents via window from 18thMarch 2020 until further notice.
Documents will be accepted only via post, please read the following instructions:
1) Covering letter must be enclosed with your documents, please write your contact details including your email and mobile number.
2)The online payment receipt must be enclosed along with your documents, please use the online payment system to pay for your documents, banker's draft and postal orders are not accepted.( please check the online payment method section )
3)For documents return, please enclose a self-addressed envelope. (Registered or recorded stamp is required)
Note: Documents cannot be collected by a private courier.
Notes:
Post takes up to 3 working days to process.
Incomplete applications will be kept pening until it is resolved.
Any documents left for more than 3 months will be discarded without prior notice.

Legalisation requirements:
1.Document issued in the UK must be attested by the FCO (Foreign & Commonwealth Office).
The FCO will only accept the original documents which have been signed by The UK Registrars ex (Company, Birth, Death and Marriage certificates), other documents should be first authenticated by a solicitor or notarised by a notary public in the UK.
2.Document issued in Ireland must be attested by the Irish foreign office.
3.Document issued in Iceland must be attested by the Icelandic foreign office.
4.Document issued in any of the British Overseas Territories will require attestation by the Government of the Territory concerned prior to submission for the FCO (Foreign & Commonwealth Office) legalisation.
British Overseas Territories :(Anguilla – Montserrat – Bermuda - Cayman Islands - Pitcairn Island - British Antarctic Territory - St Helena-British Indian Ocean Territory - St Helena dependencies (Ascension Island, Tristan da Cunha) - British Virgin Islands - South Georgia and the South Islands - Falkland Islands - Turks and Caicos Islands – Gibraltar).
5.Document(s) issued in any of the British Crown Dependencies must be attested by its own Foreign Office only.
British Crown Dependencies: (Jersey - Guernsey - Isle of Man).
6.NON UK, Irish or Icelandic Document(s) must be legalised by our UAE Consulate in its relevant Country.
Non UK, Irish or Icelandic issued Document(s) can be legalised at the discretion of the adviser. In order for the document(s) to be considered, they must be legalised in the following order:
a-Legalised from its relevant country Embassy in London.
b-Legalised from a UK Notary or Solicitor.
c-Legalised by the FCO (UK foreign and commonwealth office).
Important Note:
The steps above are not applied for legalising non UK, Irish or Icelandic academic certificates. (The UAE Embassy in London will not legalise non UK, Irish or Icelandic academic certificates).
The FCO May not accept a Non UK Document(s), so if you are willing to start the process it is under your responsibility.
7. Document issued in UAE must be attested from the ministry of foreign affairs in the UAE first. The document can then be attested by the UAE Embassy in London, which enables it to be used in the UK.
Notes:
Power of attorney and similar legal documents should be original and signed in the presence of a UK notary public prior to submission to the foreign office.
UK, Irish or Icelandic academic qualification must be attested (stamped) by the foreign office and it will be accepted weather it's a photocopy or original. (Notarised academic qualification is not accepted).

Important: The power of attorney which has got any commercial content will be treated as a commercial document..

Documents apostilled in a bundle are not accepted they should be certified or
legalised separately.

Create an account or login to the system using your account details.
While you are filling the legalisation form. Please note the following:
1.Country must be “The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”
2.Select your attestation type whether “Certificate” for individual documents or “Commercial” for company. Invoices are accepted only by the Arab British Chamber of Commerce
3.Press “Add new”.
4.Scan your document and upload it in pdf or jpeg format then press “Add”. (Maximum 5 documents per each transaction 5MB per doc). Every page of your document must be scanned as well as the foreign office stamp to be reviewed properly .
5.Please make the payment, print the payment confirmation and attach it along with your documents.
6.Please enclose the payment confirmation with your documents and send it to the consulate sections - Legalisation department.
Notes:
(*)Transaction fees will be applied, 3 dirham + 2% per transaction.
The local currency will vary depending on international exchange rate.
In case of wrong payment, refunds are only issued within 90 days of payment and a bank statement must be provided.
Cash, Company or personal cheques, banker’s draft and postal orders, are not accepted.

Police Clearance / Good Conduct Certificate:
To be used in the UAE:
In order to legalise / attest your UK police clearance certificate by the UAE embassy in London, it must be legalised first by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office
From the UAE to be used abroad:
You can apply for a police clearance/Good conduct certificate by visiting the Ministry of Interior website.

Notes:
The Ministry of Interior will issue you a police clearance certificate and send to you by email, this certificate must be legalised by the UAE embassy in London.
You will require your UAE ID number and a UAE mobile number to submit an application through the Ministry of Interior website, in case you do not have any of them you can start a new application by visiting the Dubai police website.(Dubai Police H.Q. will issue the Police clearance/Good conduct certificate regardless of the emirate you resided in).

You will receive your police clearance/Good conduct certificate from Dubai police via email. If the UK based employer or any relevant authority required you to get it attested (stamped) by the UAE Embassy in London, then the certificate must be attested (stamped) by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs beforehand.
