Visa Issuance Centre:
Visa Centre in Nairobi aims at strengthening cooperation in the consular sector and at enhancement of interaction between people, in addition to facilitation of entry procedures for manpower to the UAE through the electronic gates at the ports of entry.
The procedures followed in the Visa Centre in Nairobi are at par with the best international standards practiced in issuing visas and the objective is to enhance Customer Service.
The Visa Center can hold up to 200 visitors daily. The procedure is: (1) checking passport's validity (2) biometric details i.e eyes scanning, decimal fingerprints, face scanning and prior medical check reports as per the accredited clinics in Nairobi namely: Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi Hospital, MP Shah Hospital and Avenue Hospital to ensure that persons with transmittable diseases do not enter the country, and avoiding the burden and expenses incurred in traveling to the UAE, quarantining for health purposes and deportation. The Centre endeavors to deliver the best customer service by rendering high standard consular services in accordance with the international standards and the 7-star standard of the office of UAE Prime Minister facilitating the entry of persons to the Country through electronic gates in the ports of entry.
Visa Application Requirements:
In our efforts to facilitate dealings and avoid delay, you are required to check for the types of Visas and related fees, necessary requirements of application before proceeding to the Visa Centre. For more information, please contact the centre through its telephone or email.
After the applicant initiates the application process, they will be notified that their application is under process. The applicants are required to bring the following documents for a successful completion of the application.

Courtesy Visas (Short-term single Entry) for holders of Diplomatic, Service, official and special passports):
You must lodge an application for a visa before travelling and avail the following:
- A current diplomatic note from the Embassy or the High Commission requesting for visa, the note should include the applicant's details, reason of visit and date of intended arrival and departure.
- Filled and signed application form.

- The passport must be valid for 6 months from the expected date of arrival.

Working times: From 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m from Monday to Friday.
The Embassy will require at least 3 working days to issue the visa.

Visas for holders of United Nations Passports (Laissez Passer):
To issue a courtesy visa for persons working with the United Nations, the following requirements are to be availed:
- A recently issued diplomatic note from the United Nations requesting for issuance of a visa for the applicant, giving their details, reason of visit and date of departure.
- Signed application form. You can download the form from this link
- A recent passport-size photo.
- A colored copy of passport.
- The passport must be valid for 6 months from the expected date of arrival.
- Contact details of the applicant (mobile number and email).
The Embassy will require at least 3 working days to issue the visa.
Entry Permits for persons of lost/stolen passports who have Residence permits in the United Arab Emirates:
The following are the documents required for issuing Entry Permits for persons whose passports are lost/stolen, but had UAE residence visas in their passports:
- Filled and signed application Form.
- Copy of old passport.
- Copy of the current passport.
- A passport-size photo.
- A copy of Residence Permit in the United Arab Emirates.
- A copy of Emirati National Identity Card.
- 150 AED for Attestation the form.
- A police abstract report which should include the lost/stolen passport number approved by the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Translated Arabic copy of Police abstract.
- Attestation fee of 150 AED for the police abstract.
Issuing of an entry permit takes between one to two weeks.
